Configuring your browser to display Tigrigna Font

For Internet Explore Version 5 and 5.5 Only		  
Once you have successfully configured your browser you will be able to read Tigrigna news from various news sources and write emails in Tigrigna. Simply follow the instructions on the left. The graphics displayed on the right is designed to help you validate your steps.

1 On the menu bar:
  • Click Tools.
  • Click Internet Options.
2 In the Internet Options dialog box:
  • If the General tab is not selected, click it.
 
3 On the General tab:
  • Click the Fonts button.

4 In the Fonts dialog box:
  • Select Ethiopic from the Language Script dropdown menu option
  • GF Zemen Unicode should automatically selected as your WebPage font
  • Click OK.
5 To close the Internet Options dialog box:
  • Click OK.

This step may not be required. Check to see if the Tigrigna Font is working before you do this step.

Once you have configured the font(steps 1 - 5) and you still do not see the Tigrigna fonts, continue with this step. If you see squares at this point, it is a good sign.

On the menu bar:

  • Click View.
  • Click Encoding.
  • Select Unicode (UTF-8).
  • Also make sure that the Left-To-Right Document line is selected.
